Vent

How many times do I have to hear it
Your little story
With another?

The way he swarmed
And the way you yearned
For his smoky voice
‘n some more lovin’

You spat it out, you’ve had your fun
Telling me what I’ll have to run
A dozen times through my head tonight

I don’t wanna wish you bad
Not a blow to his face
Not a hole in your heart
Or the whole thing set on fire

Some gent sits through that sorta thing
Pass me my coat
Gotta blow it off, and vent it out
And vent it out

It's not that bad
Not a blow to my face
Not a hole in my heart
Nor my whole life set on fire

But you spat it out, you’ve had your fun
Tell you what, I gotta run
A dozen miles till it wears out
